Two dedicated Round Rock moms, Alecia Goode and Christa Matamoros, are helping families recycle their kids’ clothes to make and save money! Fairytale Threads is a twice a year children’s consignment event where local families can buy and sell their gently used clothes, toys, gear at a fraction of their retail price.
The Fall event will be August 5th, 6th & 7th at the Old Settlers Association located at 3300 Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock.
Thur. 8/5 – Open to the public from 10:30a-7pm
Fri. 8/6 – Open from 9a-7pm (“reduced” items 25% off)
Sat. 8/7 – Open from 9a-4p (“reduced” items 50% off)
Local families can save a lot of money without sacrificing quality! All items sold are organized by size and gender. Over 200 families brought thousands of items to the Fairytale Threads Spring 2010 event and thousands of happy shoppers found what they needed at great prices!
The toy selection was huge and very neatly organized. Most of the toys are gently used but in perfect condition. There are also a lot of items that are brand new, like wooden puzzles from Melissa & Doug.
If you have items to sell and would like become a consignor, you still have until 7/29 to sign-up.
Fairytale Threads also offers an exclusive shopping experience for new and expectant moms with their “New Moms Presale.” Pregnant moms can shop early before the public and get the best deals to spoil their little ones without hurting their wallets!
This year, the New Moms Presale will be held on Wednesday, Aug.4th from 6p-9p. Expectant moms must pre-register in order to attend the event. Mommy2B Austin had the priviledge to sponsor the Spring 2010 New Moms Presale and it was a great experience! All expectant moms received a Mommy2B Goodie bag with lots of pregnancy information and discounts from local professionals.
I had the opportunity to talk to a few moms and moms 2B about their shopping experience at the 2010 Spring event, held this past March, and they were very pleased with their large selection of items at great low prices. Click on the video to see some of their comments:
