Adriana is a fun, loving proud mommy to her little boy Luis Daniel, who is turning 2 on Nov.19th. She is now 39 weeks pregnant with her second baby boy. Any day now!
She’s very excited about her newest arrival and shared a little bit about her pregnancy experience with Mommy2B.
How do you compare this pregnancy to your previous one?
Adriana: My first pregnancy was more peaceful. This time around with a toddler, it has been much harder to find time to rest. This second belly is also much bigger than the first one.
Are you currently working, staying at home, on a leave?
Adriana: I’m a freelance translator, but I’m taking time off to take care of my new baby. I stopped working a month ago.
Do you plan to go back to work after you have your baby? If so, how long are you planning to wait before going back?
Adriana: I plan to start working again from home in 3-4 months after the baby is born, but I’ll take as much time off as the baby needs. How has your pregnancy treated you so far?
Adriana: It has been a great pregnancy.
How have your eating habits changed since your pregnancy? Any crazy cravings? Food adversions?
Adriana: I haven’t had any specific cravings, but I have noticed that I’m eating more sweets than regular. During my first trimester, it was very hard to stand the smell of red meat, since I don’t usually eat it. Fortunately, I’ve been drinking a lot of water and my body demands fresh fruits regularly.
What types of exercises have you been practicing throughout your pregnancy?
Adriana: I try to go for 30-40 minutes walks with my son in the stroller and my dog Chavo. They both love those walks!
Have you taken any special treatments like yoga, massage therapy, chiropractor, and how have these helped you?
Adriana: With my previous pregnancy I had the time to do prenatal yoga and had the luxury of getting a few prenatal massages, this time around, however, it has been very hard to do it. Fortunately, an electronic massager and a willing husband have done the trick to my lower back.
If there is one advice you could give other pregnant mommies, what would it be?
Adriana: Just listen to your body and try to stay as healthy as possible. Rest as much as you can!
