Upcoming Live Shows for Kids 2010

There are several live shows and performances coming to Austin and surrounding areas that are sure to spark your kiddo’s attention! If you have a toddler in your hands, chances are, he/she has seen at least one of the famous animated children TV shows.
These are some of the live appearances and other shows coming to town starting in August. I am listing all the ones that I know all the way through December, just in case you want to purchase them ahead of time.

August 7^th, 2010 – The Wiggles Circus Live!

It’s The Wiggles “Wiggly Circus Live!” Tour.  Join The Wiggles, The Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog and all the Wiggly Dancers as they bring all the excitement of the big top with a wiggly twist right to the Paramount Theatre! For this show, any child that has reached their 1st  birthday requires a ticket. Children under 12 months do not need a ticket if they sit in an adult’s lap.

August 18^th-19^th, 2010 – Storytime Live!

Come play along with your favorite preschool pals live on stage as Nickelodeon presents  STORYTIME LIVE! Enjoy an adventure with  “Dora the Explorer,” journey through Purewood Forest with “The Backyardigans,” hop into Wonderland with “Wonder Pets!,” and monkey around with “Ni-Hao, Kai-lan.” Everyone must pay for a ticket.

August 18^th-22^nd , 2010- Ringling Bros Circus!

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents ZING ZANG ZOOM, a thrill-filled, circus spectacular where family fun is no illusion. Magical Zingmaster Alex leads audience through an extraordinary world of fantasy that celebrates the uplifting spirit of the circus. Pre-Show starts one hour prior to showtime. See animals up close, visit with performers, get autographs, try on costumes, and enjoy the circus fun. Ages 2 and older must have a ticket.

October 1^st-3^rd, 2010 – A Day Out with Thomas the Train

Day Out With Thomas™ offers an opportunity for children and their grownups to take a 25 minute ride with Thomas the Tank and to have their picture taken with Sir Topham Hatt™, the Controller of the Railway. Every event includes storytelling, a viewing station for Thomas & Friends videos, and Build with MEGA® BLOKS Bricks in the Imagination Station.

December 11^th , 2010- Yo Gabba Gabba!

Kids love Yo Gabba Gabba and the funky show’s characters including DJ Lance Rock will bring their music, dancing, and fun!
